Elaine is an accomplished choreographer, teacher, dancer and with extensive Asia-Pacific experience. Her experience spans over two decades, with choreography, teaching and performances across China, Australia, South-East Asia, Europe and America, including Classical Ballet, Morden Jazz, Contemporary and Chinese Folk Dance.

Yi has thoroughly enjoyed teaching the fundamentals of dance, choreography and movement to dance professionals and teachers as well as young children of all ages, from beginner to expert. Yi is currently teaching in Hong Kong at ZECA Performing Arts, which she established with Alda Chan in 2022.

Prior to this, she was a senior teacher and choreographer at Hong Kong’s Largest dance academy for 9 years.

Further, she has collaborated with organisations to produce memorable performances and entertainment celebrations; Yi’s students have won first prize and gold at numerous competitions and performances, including the Asia-Pacific Dance Competition, Bauhinia Cup( HK) and Kangaroo Cup (HK).

Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Dance and a Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Ballet Teaching from The University of Melbourne’s renowned Victoria College of the Arts, a Diploma in Arts Management from Shanghai Jiaotong University and a Diploma of Teaching from the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing in both Morden Jazz and Classical Ballet.
